Mary Wells, has been involved with radio broadcasting since 2001, first as an announcer on WPFC, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In September of 2001, she started her first ministry broadcasts, the The Mother's Bench Christian Talk Show on KCLF in New Roads, Louisiana. Later, the ministry was moved to a more urban audience at WXOK, in Baton Rouge. In 2004, Wells started Gospel Music & Ministry Network, from which the radio broadcast was launched and carried weekly on WNDC and daily on WPFC.
